Apartment Review for Chatsworth Apartments

If you are a working professional & looking to surround yourself w/others like you - this complex is not for you. I've lived here over 1.5 years now and the place due to new management is slowly declining. There are alot of perks: great location & proximity to things, almost bug free, cheap & spacious, maintenance generally comes quick if you have apt. issues BUT you are surrounded by alot of low-income & low-lifes who frankly don't give a crap. For example - I live next door to drug-dealers, traffic is heavy everyday all hours of the day with folks coming in and out. My immediate next door neighbors also love throwing their garbabe outside - each time they leave their car - they literally dump all their drinks, food wraps right on the parking lot. Below me are a couple who fight every so often & when they fight - they are loud. I work at home and at 8:30 AM this morning right outside my window a drug transaction just happened. I keep my eyes & ears open all the time and I've never seen these 2 individuals before, which means there has been a huge influx of new tenants. I believe the new management is quick to rent out to whomever just to get the units rented. The process of sifting out the "good" from the "bad" is next to NONE. Also there are alot of kids in the complex. Since there is no designated area for them to play on - they play all over the unit's parking lot - generally the kids are fine but you have to be extra conscious of them around when you are driving the complex. If you don't care about the quality of the people around you and you want something cheap - then Chatsworth is right for you. We are looking to move when our lease ends in the next few months.
