Apartment Reviews for Gables Rock Springs
Horrible Living Experience

Two-faced management. They really RUINED the experience of coming home everyday. Every comment about them is spot on. I had a problem with management early on in my lease. I left immediately after my one-year lease expired.
The horrible problems are the things you find out only once you are living there. It seems that they don't care to fix those problems because you are already locked in with the lease.
There were also many instances of crime while I stayed there. It seemed like every few weeks they sent fliers to be on guard when you leave your apartment.
I worried about my car every night I parked.
As far as noise, the walls are thin. There was plenty of noise to complain about but I never did: I didn't want to deal with management again.
There will be people that tell you that the bad reviews are just irritable people frothing at the mouth. The good reviews are likely the ones in a better constructed building, they never had any issues to go to management for... probably because they were lucky to live in one of the better buildings!
How do you know you are going to live in a better building' You can't! The buildings all looked the same!!!Only after a a couple months into your lease do you find out! My apartment was one of the more expensive ones, so price is not a hint either.
Why did I agree to sign a lease with them? It looks nice from the inside and outside. And the management knows how to present well on that day they show you around. It is pretty, no doubt. If you want to pay over $1,000 monthly for a pretty place, this is your kind of place.
If you are fool enough to get a place here, then at least be informed that initial day. When they showed me around that initial day. They asked what I thought. I told them I would have to think about it (wanted to check out Post Briarcliff). The lady then said, we'll give you two months free! It hooked me and... It was not worth it, believe it or not. (They price the apartments too high. They wanted to screw me with the high price until I said I wanted to look elsewhere)
If you choose this place, at least you are informed and have leverage to get the two initial months free that I got. I don't think its anything special because I've heard they hand it out like candy. If they say there is no such two month deal, they are lying to you. If they say that was when the real estate market was bad, well... the real estate market is still bad; they are trying to walk all over you. If you get the slightest hint that they are two-faced, then imagine how it'd be when living there. Anything less than two months off is definitely a rip-off because of what is hidden. Smell out their desperation. Do NOT be fooled by the aesthetics and think you got a good deal!).
I had asked if there were noise problems and they said only in certain buildings but not mine. It is hard to verify those complaints, so I went with the lease. It wasn't true. But I was locked in. What can I do?
Noise was the least of my problems, if you can imagine that. I reiterate, HORRIBLE management. They are unfriendly and incompetent. I thought I could avoid those problems because I never had to deal with apartment management ever. I was wrong. I have never written a review before. I look back on that year and my memories are sour. Where you live affects the happiness of your personal life in everything. (I hope those two months free are worth it to you)
I'm rating it one star on everything despite have nice aesthetics and the maintenance people were really cool. However, I hope to inform others, and one star is too kind for them. Don't let the aesthetics fool you about the living experience.
Heed the warnings here. I wish I did.
