Apartment Reviews for The Legends At Dunwoody
Move here if you want to develop breathing problems....SO BAD!

Well, from day one my experience with this apartment was bad. The apartment was older, which we knew upon move in, but we were promised certain upgrades..which never arrived.
First, the dishwasher went. It took them several days to come and fix it...and that's what they did. The fixed it vs. replacing it, even though it's from 1985. It's terrible looking, as is our stove (which also stopped working correctly).
The second experience...the water heater in our hall way broke and leaked and FLOODED our hall. Instead of replacing this carpet, they waited for it to dry and re-installed it. Disgusting. No matter what we do, the carpet never looks clean.
Third...the upstairs neighbors moved out and the cleaning crew left a tub of water overflowing in the bathroom. Which of course leaked through the ceiling, vent, fixtures, etc into OUR bathroom directly below it. The kicker? We were out of town when this happened so we came back to MOLD galore. Nothing was actually repaired or replaced-they even painted over mold to hide it. That bathroom is still covered in mold that will not die, and everything is warped from water damage.
Fourth...the power goes completely out in one bedroom only. The circuits aren't blown. It's 99 degrees in Summer (which is humid in GA) and we can't plug in a fan to sleep with. Upon calling maintenance at about 8:00 pm he says "this is not an emergency because you have another bedroom, I'll be there tomorrow". My husband and I share the room that power died in, and the other room is occupied by my sister and her 2 year old daughter...what were we supposed to do, sleep on their floor? Maintenance did end up coming, but the man was so angry he walked around our apartment slamming things around at midnight! Horrible! He actually had my sister and I concerned for our safety.
Fifth...the hot water heater at the front of our apartment starts gushing water...which leaked into our kitchen and front closet. The boards were warped with water running up through them and the carpet in the closet was soaked. Maintenance took HOURS to get there, even though you could hear the water gushing out. All they do is bring a de-humidifier into our place which makes the inside about 150 degrees and sounds like a constant compressor running. We're stuck with the power and water bill.
Management is so terrible in this place. You are lucky to get through, and when you do they treat you like dirt. Also, MIKE the current Head MGR is a young jerk who speeds through the parking lot (almost hit my husband once) in his little truck, walks around like he's better than you and never actually resolves anything. We had to go above his head to the actual management company to get someone to come out to fix the leaking water in our bathroom ceiling.
We've also seen a number of bugs, had more recent crime, lots of speeding cars and children who are unsupervised. Including a teen who peed on our door step, and when we called management they said "Oh well".
This year the complex is conducting random inspections of apartments, without announcing when they will actually show up...just that it could be within a span of a week or so. I work from home and don't care for random men walking through my apartment, unannounced. Maybe that's just me.
So, move here and have your own experience. It will have you counting the days until your lease is up so you can escape the horror that is Legends at Dunwoody.
