Apartment Reviews for Oxford Summit - Cumming

Oxford Summit is a nice, safe apartment & townhouse complex. I chose it because it offered the best high quality and lowest priced rental townhouses in the north Alpharetta/******* area.

Issues:
1. A big parking problem. If I don't come home before 9:00 p.m. on most days then I usually have to park a couple buildings away. They have a very limited number of garages for those who would like to shelter their vehicle or other things.

2. Good Cop/Bad Cop Staff.
When I first visited, I was greeted by a wonderful lady named Michelle. She made the entire experience fun and relaxing. The next day, my friend and I went to sign my lease but Michelle wasn't there. Instead I was greeted by another woman (we'll call her Mindy) who was quite rude, short tempered and didn't seem to know what was going on. It took Mindy 10 minutes to find my lease paperwork. Then, she tried to rush me through the signing process without allowing me to read anything. When I stopped to read the key elements of the lease agreement, she got frustrated and tried to summarize. When I first filled out my application I accidentally overpaid and Michelle said I could use that credit in the future. When I asked the Mindy about the credit, she barely looked at her computer and said that she had no record of it. And whenever I asked her a question (as I am a very inquisative person), she said that she didn't know and would call me back. She never called back. After signing my lease, the manager looked over my paperwork and rudely asked me if "Is HE going to be living with you?" I rudely told her no and that he was just helping me move-in. I was very upset because I didn't mind the manager asking the question. It was the manner in which the manager asked the question. She was very unprofessional and rude. If I hadn't spoken with Michelle previously I would not have signed the lease.

On a good note, the office is great about addressing issues in a timely manner. The maintenance staff is friendly. If I have an issue, I always ask for Michelle because she always gets it done and FAST!

Overall, I like Oxford Summt. The front office needs to reorganize and re-evaluate their staff. Other than that, it is a very clean, quiet and safe community. They have a great pet policy and poo-pickup stations all through out the community. The property is a few years old and still in great condition. I would recommend Oxford Summit to anyone I know but I would tell them to ask for MICHELLE!! I wouldn't bother dealing with any of the other women there.
