While some of the issues mentioned in the negative reviews are valid, I've heard similar complaints from EVERY renter I know, low and high end, in Atlanta. A friend in a very expensive condo complex in Vinings had had her packages stolen repeatedly. Another renter in a pricy gated community in Kennesaw mentions car thefts and police activity.
Having said that, I've had mostly positive experiences here. There have been a few periodic issues, such as noisy neighbors and slow repairwork, but in general nothing significant. The last noise issue was dealt with swiftly in the form of a "once more and you're evicted" letter--swift and decisive action on the management's part. A recent incident was disclosed to residents via letters. In 4 years every repair request except one loose roof gutter was addressed within 24 hours. My apartment is in the newer section, and I suspect that makes a difference. Also, I chose to live on the top floor to avoid any potential creaking or leaking from an upstairs unit. The parking is not a problem for me because of the extended lot near my building.
For me, the proximity to I-75 is a big draw, as is the wooded area and washer/dryer in the unit. Altogether, I think Brighton Crest is a good option.

Don't ever have anything wrong with your apartment, depending upon whatever it may be...most likely, you'll be on your own trying to get it resolved. I called to report a ceiling leak and they asked me if it was still leaking! Of course not, I mean, it's not raining anymore but, when it does rain again...it will. No one has came by since. There is a water heater located in my closet; one early morning, I heard something spewing...I step out of bed and my floor is soaked! You know they didn't offer to compensate for the damages. I had to throw out boxes of clothes; boxes because I just moved into the apartment. There are no ceiling lights...a ceiling fan but not ceiling lights. It seems every month, you see a different person in the office. The management is really bad. They offer discount promotions but when you participate, they want to hassle around. I wouldn't suggest this place if management is still the same. The prices are pretty good and the community is pretty peaceful but, the management is horrible. <P>

My stay at Brighton Crest was very nice. Building 18 very quiet. Staff was great....courteous and professional. Elizabeth was exceptionally helpful and patient. <P>

I saw the place and fell in love with it. I read the ratings and was scared to move in. I did it anyways because I found a job and was from out of town so I needed a place immediately. I don't regret it so far. It's been about 3 weeks. Any work order I put in was done the next day. It's really quiet. I always have a park. The only thing is the man that died or was killed in the complex recently. But there was a note on my door when I got back about it. Other than that no complaints. We all know you only voice your opinion when you're mad so I decided to go ahead and do this. <P>

I have lived here for 2 years and can not wait to move at the end of the month. I have endured roofs that leak, a door that you have to force to close all the way.. And it is the main door.
The air conditioning was replaced twice. The windows continue to link each time it rains.
Also there have been several break ins and other issue in the complex. The rental office never notifies people. The neighbors have taken it upon themselves to notify their neighbors.
Take my advice... It is not worth the hassle.

Brighton Crest is going through a lot of renovations, from a new staff to updating all their units. They are taking down the dated wallpaper in all the apartments and are putting in all new appliances. The landscaping is beautiful and it has one of the best pools! I would recommend it to anyone!!
