Apartment Reviews for Moanalua Hillside Apartments
Welcome to the Ghetto

This apartment complex is as close to the ghetto as I have been in a while. For those of you that are military, after what I have been through while renting at Moanalua Hillside Apartments, I am ecstatic about my lease expiring and moving back into the barracks. A short description of what to expect at this apartment complex:
Parking: If management put as much effort in helping the tenants and renovating the apartments as they do for towing vehicles, the place would be a five star resort. The parking restrictions are so strict, that it is an incredible burden on the tenants. If you have visitors, the only place for them to park is at the bottom of the hill, and only for a short time before they get towed. Management has restrictions in their house rules saying that cars can only be washed a certain way and cars can only be parked pulling into the stall. Backing into a stall will get you towed in less than an hour.
Noise Level: Throughout the day, the noise level is reasonable. The only bad thing is Mormans coming door to door, bugging you constantly. At night, the noise level is unbearable. Between parents screaming at their children, howling cats, parties, and the endless roar of tow trucks, it is amazing anyone can sleep.
Management: Dealing with management has been my worst experience of all. They are very unfriendly and unpleasant to deal with. At one point I had to get an attorney to get the matters resolved. If they tell you anything, GET IT IN WRITING!
Standard of Living: Since their recent joke of a renovation, the apartments are a little better, but far from being a quality place to live. The entire complex is infested with roaches. For how high the rent is, the apartments do not even have A/C, and management does not allow barbeques. Doing laundry is a joke; there are about 5 washers and dryers for about 100 apartments. The washing machines and dryers are also constantly broken and rarely get fixed.
All in all, this place sucks. This outlines a brief description of what I saw at the apartment complex during the year I lived there. Please feel free to email me at Sir_Charles_11@yahoo.com with any specific questions you have regarding the apartments.
