Our Review for Moanalua Hillside Apartments
Moanalua Hillside Apartments is located off the H201 and the 78, about 5 miles northwest of downtown Honolulu. For tenants who work at the Pearl Harbor visitor’s center, museum, or base, the historic harbor is only 2 miles away. The complex is also near the H3, making travel to the windward side of the island easy, and the property is within miles of the Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. For recreation, tenants can check out the close by Moanalua Golf Course. Reviews stated that the units were spacious and the location was nice, but some felt management did not universally enforce complex rules on all tenants.

I live at this apt now renting a 2 BR apt. The management is making me pay $1550. However they advertise on craigslist and every other place that the 2 BR apt is only $1250. All they want is more money ! The apt is full of roaches even though we keep our apt very clean. In the grass near the pool are thousands of ferrets dashing into through torn fence areas into the pool area. It is disgusting ! When they show you the "lower" pool ask to see the "infamous" upper pool where the ferrets run wild and the homeless sleep in the children's playground.

I lived there for 5 years, and was happy overall. From my experience the single military guys made much of the trouble. Loud parties, noicy cars, and no repect fro the neighbors. The complex has more than 6 Laundry Stations, and the mchines were replaced with new ones mid 2006. Parking is aproblem when some of the residents do not obey the parking regulations, and have friend staying overnight taking the resident's spots. The Fitness center is nice and clean. Two nice clean pools. The complex has several BBQ areas with 3 or more nice big grills. Overall, the guy who gave the previuos rating must be sored, but most of his complains are outright LIES. I would live there If I went back to Hawaii. <P>
