Review for G & R Property Management Apartments

My son rented from G&R Property Management and had nothing but problems from them. These were suppose to be new apartments, rented for $900 a month, but after being there just a few days we saw roaches in the apartment. I went to management staff for help on this and they were extremely rude and tried to lay blame on us for this issue, then said they would only spray once and it was the renters responsibility from that point forward.

Six months into the lease my son had to relocate. He was going to find a renter to replace himself to avoid breaking the lease, but the landlord wanted to charge him $25 for everytime he showed the apartment, then another $50 for allowing him to do this. We decided to just pay out the remaining six months of the lease in full, which we did. Although the apartment was spotless, no problems and the landlord had his rent money and all monies owed for the full term of the lease, six months early, he still refused to return the $900 deposit money to my son when he moved out and held onto it for the full term of the lease. I ended up having to contact the Illinois Attorney Generals Office to get him to even return it then. We will never rent from this place again and I do not recommend them to anyone.
