Review for 707 West Sheridan Apartments

My roomates had a few problems with the office staff being rude to them but luckily I had only good experiences with them. The parking is on the expensive side and if someone parks in your spot it is your responsibility to get them towed. Which is a hassle.

The pool is well kept and always a nice warm temperature. The workout room was OK until about a month ago when new management took over and added a bunch of new equipment which really impressed me. This new management also is renovating many rooms: New doors, windows, flooring etc. From what I have seen they have spent a lot of money to make 707 much more appealing.

I was worried about the noise when I moved in because I had read some bad reviews about sound proofing in the building. Maybe I just had quiet neighbors but I rarely ever heard them no matter how loud they were being. My roommate is also extremely loud and I could never hear his yelling until I actually entered the apartment. We also never had a noise complaint (which is really amazing for him).

There are some bugs.. earwigs and other little to medium large nasties. Although my entire time there I really only noticed them a few times. The windows are well sound proofed so even if you live on the street the noise is well blocked as well.

The front door is locked like standard and often times the garage door is open for anyone to come in. Still, I felt very safe in the building and at times even felt comfortable to leave my door unlocked when I left for a short trip.

The laundry machines were rarely broken and if they did break were fixed quickly. The price for laundry however went up about 2-3 times while I lived there. It is a pet friendly building with hefty pet fees of course. People are generally very nice about their pets and clean up well.

That's all I can think of sharing for now, I would recommend it and I would do it again if I could. The reason I moved out was because my roommates were moving and I couldn't afford our unit myself.
