Apartment Reviews for Catherine Courts Apartments - Chicago

I have been renting this apartment for the last 8 months and planning to move out in 2 months(2 month before the lease is over).
I'll give you an honest review.
If you plan to rent for a few months,this is fine but don't plan for long term.There are too many cons about this place.
The advantages are:CTA and I-90 are very close and major grocery stores are a walking distance including a 7/11 which is actually inside the premises but thats all that there is.

Now the bad points:
Being so close to O'Hare,noise from planes taking off is aweful.Every 30 seconds you hear a plane taking off.It will make you sick in a few months.

Chicago Fire Station is just across the street, which means constant sirens blurting all day and they are a nuisance when you are driving out of the apartment or coming in.

Neighbours are rude and cold.
The grassy lawn is neglected and rubbish is not cleaned.In winters snow is not removed from the apartment sidewalks,making it dangerous to walk.No matter how many times you complain management won't listen.

There have been reports of burglaries and Chicago police is a frequent visitor,patroling the place every day.
The whole place actually looks like a section 8 housing project except that it has a good convenient location.
The management is struggling to sell the apartments for as low as $95,000 still buyers are hard to find.Owners struggle to find renters and once they rent,plan to move out once the lease is over.
My honest advice to you:Think hard before you move in.

My boyfriend and I love our apartment! We are renting it from private owners, but they gutted the place, put in new HW floors, ect. We even have had plubming issues (albiet small ones) and the maintenance guys are quick to respond. Noise is minimal, and our neighbors are friendly.

Now the lady in the office, Sue, she is one heck of a wench! Always seems to be in a 'I dont like my job dont bother me' kind of deal....uh sorry, you get paid Im sure, so SUCK IT UP. Never ever wants to help, and if I even ask a question, its like Im such a bother to her. If you hate ur effin job, quit lady! Im going to complain to her supervisor.

Take Care Guys. This year we saw record low in decrease of temperatures and the Management never cared to bother our cries. Most of the Units are not having proper heating facilities due to some equipment problem and no one is bothering. I got sick and I am planning to send all my medical expenses to them. And I am planning to report the same to Department of Health and other concerned Departments. <P>

Its close to trains and the highway. Bally's total fitness across the streat. now updatingwith rooftop deck and repainting and fixing everything. wow <P>

since i moved in this place i don't sleep.the bulding walls are so' cheap i can hear others when they having conversation.i can hear them walking..and oh boy these people walking 24/7
