Apartment Review for Planned Property Management

Well, my boyfriend and I are TRYING to move out of our current apartment- into another, larger one in the same building... seems easy right? Not so much so! <P>
First off, we let it be known that we wanted a larger place in THIS building in May, our lease up in July... it is now August 16th- we haven't been able to even get in touch with our leasing agent for weeks!! BUT the indecisive and lack of communication bewteen our leasing agent, US and our building manager has been STUPID! <P>
She says we move on the 15th, he says we move on the first- and neither know what the other one is doing OR saying! The agreement we had with her was this- we pay for our SAME rent in the smaller apartment for August, and when they get our larger one done (which was also supposed to be early August) we could move... they make a small sacrifice for not having our apartment ready by the first when they've had over 2 months to get it done. <P>
I HAVE SEEN SNAILS MOVE IS LESS TIME! <P>
So, here we are- the 16th of August and they still have to "replace a fixture" and now our leasing agent is saying everything that she had told us could happen, and was going to happen- cannot be done- and were stuck in the smaller apartment till the end of the month! Otherwise- she could get in trouble... how about this- DON'T MAKE FALSE PROMISES AND PUT THEM ON OUR LEASE! <P>
I am SO angry right now. We've been told we were to move on the 1st, by the building manager, on the 15th by the leasing agent- and now... not till the end of the month- because we'd be ripping the complany off like $300 difference in rent. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? I was supposed to move by the end of July!! <P>
