A sad fact is that most of the people who write review have an ax to grind. At best you only hear one side of the story and it is told by someone who is really ticked off. Take all reviews with that in mind. I have rented apartments for 10 years from 8 different landlords. The simple sad truth is that I have never been happy with my security deposit refund from any landlord. Landlords charge tenants for painting and cleaning. Tenants do not want be charged for these things. But, as an experienced renter I have come to understand that just because I got charged did not mean my landlords were evil or criminals. Some tenants need to grow up and realize that owning or running property is a business. You can't give it way and people do not want to move into places that aren't clean or have marks on the walls. If you are going to move around every year, like I did, or have roommates who don't pull their weight with the cleaning at the end of the lease, it is going to cost you money out of your deposit. Generally if you treat people with respect they will treat you the same way. I would never be a landlord in a college town. It seems like no matter how hard you try to do a good job there are people who want to kick you in the teeth and be mean because they didn't get there way.

Intelligence in = Intelligence out. Having lived in apartments managed by Autumn Creek for over 6 years, reading the other reviews here makes me just shake my head. I've been in their office when "incidents" have happened before - 100% of the time started by the people who came in to complain about something that they had either failed to report before, or due to them being charged for something they did.
In the last 6 years, there have been plenty of problems living in the area - it's a college town, and drunk people do stupid things to apartment buildings. Autumn Creek's office has people on-call 24/7 by phone, and so is their maintenance staff. If there's a problem after-hours, they'll assess, and if it's urgent someone will come out in the middle of the night, even on a Sunday, to fix it (I even got to share a fun hour hanging out talking with them while they fixed the elevator at 11pm on a Sunday night a few months ago). Everyone I've met who works in the office really does their best to try and make the buildings they run pleasant.
I have no illusions that some of my neighbors over the years have been heavy drinkers, partiers, pot-heads, etc. But I don't blame the management office for their behavior, especially when I see their staff moving into their own buildings so they can be on-hand to try and police that sort of thing. Last year there were some pretty loud apartments on my floor - a month after myself and some others complained to the office, there were 3 eviction notices posted on my floor. Last time I checked, they don't make any money off apartments that are empty, so that means they're possibly even taking a financial hit trying to keep their buildings managed well.
I'm more than happy to go into more detail about all of my experiences with Autumn Creek if anyone wants to ask about it - I just need to say again, input = output. If you treat them with respect, report things as they come up, and don't try to lie or do illicit things, or weasel around with the lease/contract you sign, they will bend over backwards for you!

The management team was kind and repectful. They even took care of my son when he was hospitalized last year. Amazing group that work there.I am so pleased my son choose their apartment!!!!
