Review for Cla Enterprises Inc Apartments

DeKalb isn't the safest town, so I don't think you can exactly have a high safety rating simply because I wouldn't feel safe anywhere in town after dark. Overall, I liked my apartments the past two years with CLA, but I must admit that I think the manager is getting a little overwhelmed with properties and his response to tenant issues has declined.
Initially Chuck was quick to respond to all isses. In the second year of our lease he complained to us about having to move our apartment (which we only did because he had rented out our apartment to someone else AND us!) Also be careful to read the apartment specifications (which are SEPARATE from your lease) very carefully. We did not realize our water bill had a due date and were charged over TWICE our bill in late fees. There also is some other provision for payment using separate checks. We weren't sure how this applied to us but somehow $30 was taken out of our security deposit. The least a manager can do is EXPLAIN why they are withholding some of your deposit.
