Review for Mason Properties Apartments

Stay far far away from Mason properties. I currently rent from them at the University Heights apartments with 3 roommates in a 3 bedroom townhouse with study. When we moved in, the carpets had burns and ash stains on them, the doors were beat up, the stove is old and doesn't work correctly, and for about a month and a half our toilet didn't flush properly. Now, we're in the process of getting evicted because management detected marijuana near our door. Needless to say it could have been anyone in our hallway yet we're being singled out. Needless to say we're fighting this through court. Also, our friends that live at the Colonial Townhouses were robbed at gunpoint a few months ago, and wished to find a new place to live, because the thieves said they would be back. The Mason employees were rude and not helpful in any way until their parents called and complained at length. Mr. Mason is a millionaire who lives in Florida and rarely comes up to Illinois. He owns all the apartment complexes right out and makes pure profit off of those of us who rent from him. Don't even bother keeping your apartment in good shape, you won't be getting your security deposit back at the end of the lease anyway. Stay away from Mason Properties!
