I lived in those apartments a few years back, I worked at O'hare airport on the midnight shift. I was forced to move into a different unit because the upstairs tenant cut off their heat in the winter so the pipes burst and my unit 648 was flooded due to the winter temperatures. Ok so here goes... When going to bed after my graveyard shift in the morning, I use to feel someone sitting on my bed, I had a air mattress. This use to happen every so often and sometimes more than often. For some reason something told me it was a girl sitting on my bed, not being scared just tired I would say to her and look to the edge where I felt pressure on my bed and say in my mind.. you can stay here but just be still because I am tired and I need to sleep and then the pressure on my bed would stop. In the corner of my room their was a large spot what looked like blood on the wood floor; it was stained into the floor but for some reason I didn't think it was blood at the time. As of now not living there any more I would always think of that spirit in my apartment. Today I was watching the tv series "the haunted" and it reminded me again of the spirit in that apt. so I went online and typed in murder at des plaines apt. Guess what... a female United Airlines Korean flight attendant name Young Kavila was murdered in my unit 648 in which I was staying... this game me the chills and explains the blood stains soaked into the wood floor and the pressure of someone sitting on my air mattress. I did not feel any harm while staying there and I guess the spirit was trying to connect with me. So many years later and now I finally know the answer of who this person who was sitting on my bed in who I knew 4 some reason was a girl sitting on my bed. I hope the person who killed her was caught and I feel sad for what happened to her. May she rest in peace and god bless her and her family.

I sure don't doubt you, and I've been a commuter since 1982. But wasn't this in the kitchen immediately after she returned to the apt. with take out food? And roommate found her very soon after?

I wrote the previous article, the fight started in the kitchen or in the bedroom, in those apts. you always enter in through the back door close to where you park and you have to go to the bedroom to get to the kitchen which is the next room, but I believe she may have traveled to the bedroom where she may have tried to run because it is close to the door or her body was placed in the bedroom afterwards where she may have blead but I am unsure. This was a very sad story and I can't believe someone did this to her.

Here's an update. A few months back I wrote to the Des Plaines police Dept. about this and asked if the killer was caught or If they could contact America's Most Wanted about this... guess what, they did. A show was featured on AMW naming the killer as Luis Rodriguez Mena. It may be possible that he may be in the Chicago area because I think he may have a son located here or may be in Mexico or anywhere around the world. It is not a day that goes by that I do not think of the spirit sitting on my air mattress at the time in those apts. as to who I came to find out that her name was Young Kavila who was killed by Mena. Please spread the word to bring justice to Kavila, if you have any information regarding the killer Mena, please contact the Des Plaines police Dept. I believe spirits speak out and want justice sometimes before they can move on, and I believe her spirit may still be in that apartment until her killer is caught. Please let's spread the word and tell everyone you know about this. I know we are so close to finding you Mena, their is a time and place for everything; and the time is now so give up and turn yourself in or we will find you where ever you may hide. We have not forgotten about this horrendous crime and we will bring justice to you Kavila and let your spirit rest in peace.

Here is the link to America's Most Wanted for the killer we need to find...
