A sad shadow of what it once was....

My wife and I have rented here for several years, and we've decided that enough is enough. I couldn't recommend this apartment to anyone.

Since we've rented, the wonderful tennis court that we once enjoyed has been repeatedly vandalized by tenants, and is now no longer maintained. It's simply a useless rectangle of cement that serves no purpose.

Our neighbors have become a revolving door of rude and inconsiderate Section 8 cases who we must constantly report to police for playing loud music at every hour of the day. They eventually get evicted, only to be replaced by someone just as bad.

A lack of proper maintenance crew ensures that garbage tossed on the grounds will stay there for several days before being cleaned up.

Charming restarants such as Papa John's and John's Pizzaria have long since moved away from the area.

Doorways and light posts are frequently broken by vandals roaming the area at night.

And "Gated community?" What a joke!! Drive around the "gated community!" There is a token guard at the entrance that requests non-residents to sign in before entering, but anyone can just walk into the area at any other spot on the grounds.

Add to that the lack of maintenance, the half-assed attempts to fix plumbing and lighting issues, and the increased crime, and you have a total disaster of a community.

It seems that people who are actually paying their full rent and treating their home accordingly are moving away---us included----leaving a community of welfare people who have no consideration for others, and a management system without enough money to keep our home beautiful. Oh sure, they spend what little profits they have on making the leasing office look classy and beautiful, but that's as far as it goes.

What's left is window dressing, smoke, mirrors and debt----and an apartment complex that is pretty much just an extension of Gary. Avoid it.
