We've been here for 4 summers now and I think we get happier each year. When I need any repairs made, I call the office and maintenance is there in a day or two. My apartment faces the back lawn and looks over gorgeous flowers and I can walk right out my patio to use the grill. My wife walks over and uses the exercise machines in the clubhouse - everything is close and convenient. I am so content in my home and glad I made the decision to rent there!

I just moved in and I love it. I admit I was alittle unsure about the price but when I saw my new Apartment it was worth every penny. I loved the way the office staff made me feel so special by taking the time to walk me to my apartment show me where the laundry room, storage and bike room where. I was very surpised and happy that she took the time to show me how to actually use my dishwasher. I have lived in several complexes but never was I walked to my apartment and showed how to use the appliances. I am telling all my friends and family about Hampton In Highland!! I can't wait to try out all the free ammenities.

We rented a two bedroom, third floor apt for $884/month. The walls were thin as I could hear people talking through them and smoke would somehow get into our bathroom. Master bedroom had a urine stain that we had to spray with RESOLVE for about a month. After 8 months we found a cheaper place and wanted an early exit but that would require a 45 day written notice, the next month's rent plus a two month penalty, all due at the time of the notice so save up. Mind you the two month penalty was at a higher monthly rate since we were already paying "under the market rate". We were informed by a neighbor that if you renew another year your rent will increase $40-50/month regardless. FYI: watch your lease end date. Its usually the 15th which means you will have to pay an extra two weeks if you move out on the first or find a place to crash for two weeks before your next place is available. Don't expect much back from your deposit either. Carpet cleaning and painting will take a good chunk of it. Had to call office staff three times to get a response on why we could not end our lease on the first. Was told they would call back on why not. When they finally did, she repeated the same thing she told me on the original call and even giggled in the voicemail. Professionalism may be questionable. There was a weekly car alarm that would not shut off and one domestic dispute in the parking lot but we felt safe overall. People are very friendly. Clubhouse was nice with a workout room, pool, pool table, big screen, and locker rooms. Bike storage is in each building which is one unfurnished room on the bottom floor. Overall, if you are looking for value in this neighborhood, I would suggest buying a condo across the screen for $100-120K and your mortage will be less than the rent here.
