The apartments at Bent Tree are not bad in and of themselves, rather it's the incompetent, lazy, money-hungry management that makes the experience a negative one. The maintenance is horrible and despite the 24-hour guarantee that they boast of the system is really more like "we'll get to it when we're good and ready or in two months-whichever one comes first." In less than 2 years we have seen 3 community managers and we are still waiting, hoping for a manager who actually knows what they are doing. Each winter we have the pleasure of slipping and sliding through the complex-as the staff waits for March to arrive so that the sun might melt the snow and ice. But who knows maybe you'll end up lucky and win a slip and fall settlement due to their negligence.
Overall, I would suggest moving to Bent Tree if you want a frustrating experiece EVERY time you have to speak to an employee.
Perhaps my favorite Bent Tree anecdote involves a suspicious person, who had a key to the unit (sounds suspiciously like maintenace) who decided to spend a few hours in a tenant's apartment while he was out of town. Wanna know what the manager did to rectify the situation... me too, but unfortunately it doesn't seem as if anything was done.
I dont reccomend moving in...do so at your own risk. Certainly I would advise you not to sign your name on the dotted line unless and until you have toured the apartment that you have been assigned. Otherwise you might find, as I did that the carpet has not been shampooed, the walls have not been painted and the apartment has not been cleaned one bit in preparation for your arrival.
The maintenance sucks, parking leaves a lot to be desired, the staff is lazy, unprofessional, and phony.
