I would stay as far away from this place as possible. There is relatively NON-Existing Parking and if you do happen to get a spot, WATCH OUT!! Your car will get damage to it in some way. Your doors will get dinged, keyed, or broken into by the countless bums that hang around and other undesireable people. The location is nice during the day, is close to everything, the facilities, and amenities are pretty nice as well. Unfortunately the staff in the office are completely rude and unhelpful in every way possible. They tell you what you want to hear when inquiring in the beginning, and then if you have any issues while you are their, they simply tell you that they will look into it or fix it but NEVER do anything about the issue. If I were a woman I would stay away from the place if you ever intend on going out after dark or coming home at night. There are some shady people that roam around there. I wouldn't say they are there every day, but it only takes on really shady person to come through at the same time you are and you are in trouble! Also, do not let the staff fool you into believing that you can get a garage parking spot, because there are simply not any spots available or at least that was what I was told...I don't know...maybe they were not telling me the truth about that one too. I tried to get a spot and was on the wait list basically the entire time I was in the building. If it weren't for the management at this facility and some of the unresolved issues with parking I would still consider the place, but the women in the office have no personality and again, are completely unhelpful! STAY AWAY!!!! I now pay $100 less a month in the suburbs, with a ton more room, a washer and dryer in the unit, and MUCH friendlier staff and amenities. This place is definitely not worth it. I suggest finding another property managed by someone other than Van Rooy Properties. Unfortunately, they own half of the apartments in indy, but look for others if you must live downtown!!
