Harvard Square Apartments located on Mcfarland road in the 46227 zipcode area. Near Stop 11 and South Madison Avenue.
Harvard Square apartment complex is run by Kirkpatrick Management company. They own numerous apartment complexes throughout Indiana. They have a website.
Unfortunately for us tennants the main guy who owned and run this company died recently and his kids took over the family business. The first decision they made was to get rid of all of the managers and secretaries and put the maintenance staff in charge instead. It put more money in the owners pockets, but created a living hell for us tenants.
And any ladies reading this can forsee the problems with that decision of putting an all male maintenance staff in charge. The men are nosey, intrusive, harrassing, careless, uncaring, incompassionate, rude, controlling, gang up together, and just down right mean to the point of being criminal. let me say that definitley many, many men are loving, compassionate, and christian human beings - but these guys aren't it.
Any woman who has had a break up in a relationship with a jerk can understand when we say that living here is exactly like living with 6 exhusbands, but even worse, because THEY have control over YOU and your livelihood and complete access to you and your belongings any time day or night that they want! They pile up snow in the winter time behind cars of tenants they don't like. They are cowards because most of the time the tenants they pick on are single women. They enter your apartment when you are gone and make holes and other damage to walls and appliances in your apartment. But, really, you don't live here and it really isn't YOUR apartment because with as much access as they have to you and all you own, you feel imprisoned. When they come to do a repair they yelll at you, demean you, belittle you and make you definitely regret ever calling. While doing the work they continually throw down their tools hard on your floor over and over again. They write up tenants they don't like for 5 inch tall grass and for parking in their parking spot backwards. But all the maintenance staff have tall grass and park their trucks in backwards. Many of them also reev their truck engines and play their music - window shaking loud.
They do not let any tenant live there unless there is one tenant for every bedroom. So if you were single and wanted a two bedroom they say "that is not possible it is against the rules." However, nearly all of the maintenance men are single (suprised?) and ALL of them live for free in the 3 and 4 bedroom apartments there. And it is all the other tenants picking up their tab for their free rent and utilities.
If you're married you may be somewhat fine at Harvard Square. If you are single, it is not a safe place. Its more of a drinking buddies, scratch and burp type of environment.
