I am a resident of River Road Apartments in Indianapolis, IN (46240) and have several complaints about the condition of the complex and the unprofessional leasing staff. I have lived in this complex for nearly two years and have repeatedly noticed the following: trash bags left out on many patios, as well as, dog feces and dilapidated furniture (couches; recliners; broken televisions), mold growing inside window frames, out-of-date appliances, bathroom and kitchen fixtures that are broken or falling apart, cheap and easily worn carpet, and dryer vents that attract birds nests instead of disposing hot air and dust. Furthermore, it is obvious (I've seen it) that several individuals are living in single or double occupancy residences (multiple beds visible in living room areas). As a result, parking is a problem--especially after work hours and late at night.
I take pride in my living space and have spent a lot of time and money decorating our patio and small garden space with potted flowers, a water feature, and attractive patio furniture. It saddens me to live in a place that is junky and under-regulated. Even the pool was closed down for several days this summer by the Marion County Board of Health. When I take my dog for a walk around the lake, I am disgusted by the filthy patios and cannot believe this is the north side of Indianapolis.
