My boyfriend lived here for about a year or so. I hated coming over to his place. The only elevator in the 8 or so floor building took forever, and you could only fit 3 people on at a time. It also felt as though it would break at any time. The other option of the stairway, smelled terrible, and it was extremely hot. The building is locked at all hours, and you think this is pretty safe except for the fact that the gate to the parking lot was broken 1/2 the time, and the door into the building from the lot was always open. The fence was easy to climb as well. The lighting around the building at night sends a false sense of security which is offset by the crackheads at the IHOP across the street constantly making up a sob story for you to give them money, or your leftovers. The building is old and smells like cats. They also let pretty much anyone live there without a background check. You don't know who you're living next to. This is not a place for children, or anyone. If you're a crackhead, then be my guest.
