Apartment Reviews for Avalon Lake Apartments - Indianapolis

Avalon Lake Apartments stand on Greenshire Drive, 10 miles out from the center of Indianapolis. The building lies beside I-465 and Skiles Test Public Park. Tenants can get their shopping done at the Shaedeland Station Shopping Center nearby. Down the street is an area that contains tons of spots to shop, eat, and grab a drink at places like Bier Brewer & Tap Room or Speedway. Reviews speak highly of the safe environment and the nice staff that works there. However, some complain about the maintenance and their slow response to work orders.

I have lived here almost a year and am happy. I have had my problems, but really what apartment complex doesn't? Not all the bathrooms are yellow - mine is blue. I admit that there are things that need updated, but if it breaks they will fix it. I love my fireplace. I have two huge bedrooms upstairs (larger than the house I lived in before!), a dining room , laundry upstairs....all for under $700 a month. If you check them out at the right times you can catch some great deals. A few months after I moved in the price had gone down even more. I like being near the highway too. The kids can be annoying playing in the street, but that is (again) something you deal with anywhere. I do wish there was a fitness center, but there are two fitness clubs very close.

Because the apartments are older the windows don't seal very well, and in the winter the electric bill can get pretty high. There are a few staff members that aren't too nice, but the others are very friendly and always willing to help. My dog and my cats are welcome and I couldn't have found a better place to start my life away from my parents home!!!
