La Joya Apartments are near Saddlbrook Golf Course and North Westway Park, making it easy to play 18 holes or get out and enjoy the fresh air. The complex is also close to Lafayette Square Airfield. Shopping centers surround the area, including Honey Creek Mall and Lafayette Square Shopping Center. A recent tenant has said that it is a decent walk to the nearest bus station, but there is parking if you own a car. Maintenance was informed of a bug problem, but exterminators called to resolve the issue. Other than that, there have not been many complaints with the apartment complex.
