The townhouses are older, the carpet isn't so nice BUT the neighbors are great and its a very safe environment. Not too many ammenties, but it is close to charlestown road/downtown new albany about 10 minutes away from louisville and jeff. I would rather pay a little more knowing nobody is going to break into my car. Its really quite, lots of trees. No clubhouse and the pool is not working. I have lived there for two years. Spriglers don't keep up with the place like they should, the maintenance guy is really cool tho. I wish I had new carpet. If you rent a townhouse, the only bill you have to pay for is electric which if you are conservative about it can run you around $40 during the winter and maybe $70 during the summer. I like that I don't have to pay for heat. As for the townhouse its self, like I said before, the carpet is pretty shotty, the appliances are old but it is 1100 square feet and the bedrooms are pretty roomy. Some have balconies. So I guess its a matter of an individual's priorities. Mary Sprigler can be pretty intimidating, but if you are late on your rent AS LONG AS YOU CALL and of course pay up, she won't drive a stake through your heart or penalize. They are too busy with other multimillion dollar projects to worry about that. Sonny Sprigler is cool as ****, but refuses to fix the pool which sucks. IT IS QUIET HERE

My husband & I currently live in a townhouse in Lochwood. We have an infant daughter. We are looking to renew our lease. The staff is always very polite & caring. They have helped us out continuously. I really enjoy the maintenance man, **** fix something small we didn't even notice, if he sees it on his way out. Very fast at responding to any questions that we have.

I love walking around the neighborhood with my daughter. I feel very safe.

Low noise level. Very caring neighbors looking out for us.

We are IN LOVE with our balcony & back patio.

The amount of closet space and the room sizes are amazing compared to what we've found in other rentals.

Our appliances were in great condition, not very old. The paint was fresh & well done and our carpets are wonderful.

I've been frustrated in the past with rentals. We all have really enjoyed living here and hope to continue to do so.

This is a nice complex in a great neighborhood. Quit, stable, close to expressways (but not too close). The pool could be better, but overall very happy here.

Quiet community - mostly retirees - and hope it stays that way. Spacious inside with front and read entrances/exits and patio area. Priced reasonably for mid-income persons. My 1,500 sf 2bed/2bath is $650.00 per month.

The office manager, Rebecca, knows me by name, b/c I have made it known, in a 'good' way. She is Very cordial. Maintenance requested is usually completed within 1 or 2 weeks...depending on urgency and availability of maintenance worker.

Minimal insulation, even with quiet tenants above me, I can hear bass from low-volume television, sometimes can actually 'hear' entire conversations, children running/crying, if there is no noise buffer in my place. Meet your neighbor and communicate, can be worked out.

Parking is not the best, but there are garages available for an additional $60.00 per month. Having problems with people parking and leaving relatives vehicles virtually abandoned.

Lighting is not good behind my apartment building nor in the parking area at the end of my building. I have requested flood lights/outdoor lighting and not completed yet...probably won't as enough time for this work has passed.

Regularly groomed landscaping. Driveway suffering in my area, with potholes and rough spots...nearest to Slate Run Elementary & known as the "new" section.

Appliances older...small refrigerator and dishwasher doesn't even have a Jet Dry container.

Wallpaper in bathrooms looks like clearance/grandma pattern and colors. When asked to have removed and painted, the painter just painted over the wallpaper (looked worse) b/c had been wallpapered directly onto drywall.

Pool in older section of townhomes/apts, that I don't use. Not well kept (slimey/green color), nor well-supervised...the couple of times I drove by.

No Dogs. Cats welcome with non-refundable security deposit, although lease states No Pets.

Owners are selling off older section of townhomes/condos and quite possibly this section with garages will be sold in the future. I don't believe they are spending money on fix-ups any more than necessary.

Small community of apartment complexes. Most residents are retirees. Security Guard on site evenings. Building entry protected with intercom system; NO solicitors! LARGE floor plans at a price most could afford! No pets. Located off Slate Run Road.
