Apartment Reviews for Sherwood Lake - Schererville

this apartment is not as described!! I read on a website that there were newly renovated apartments with new appliances and a one bedroom was 850 square foot. When I looked at a model, of course the model looked great. When I moved into my place, I was disgusted! Nothing was clean, cigarette butts in between the sliding door and the glass door. The vent in the bathroom was nothing but dust. The fridge was the freezer and the freezer was the fridge in my "1970s" refridgerator! Nothing was new and it looked like the tile in my little kitchen had been lived on for centuries! This place is not 850 square feet, although it might be if they didn't have two huge closets that you really do nothing with and they are in the worst spots i've ever seen! I couldn't even fit my sectional in here so luckily it was as I said, a sectional since I had it literally in sections to make fit in this little dump. It is in a nice location, only reason I stayed was because it was close to my job. Now that a year is up, I'm OUTTA HERE!!!

I moved in here during the winter. Sidewalk and stairs were always shoveled and salted by 6am. Maintenance is always on top of things. They never enter your apartment without permission. Hallways and common areas are cleaned weekly. Staff is very friendly. Apartments are quiet, I didn't even know I had upstairs neighbors until they were moving out! I see cops partoling the area every once in awhile, but there is a guarded entrance at night time so it is very safe. Even the night guard is friendly! He makes you smile every time your drive through! Pet owners are a bit inconsiderate and some do not clean up after their dogs. The only reason I am leaving after my lease is up is because I have a second dog now(a friend is watching it for me), and you cannot have 2 dogs here. :( <P>
