Pretty good place to live ( 06/08/2012 )

I originally moved into Birarstone my sophomore year and have lived there ever since. The apartments are pretty nice and the location was pretty close to my classes. Liked that it was on the KU bus route. Some apartments have washers & dryers others don't but there's a very close laundry mat that I used by the stadium. Me and my friends always walked to football games from my apartment. The management and maintence team were good. Things always got fixed in a good manner. OVerall I would say I really liked briarstone and would recommend it

I lived here for 2 years while I attended KU grad school. It was quiet despite the location near campus, but I expect a little noise at time living under someone else. The place was nice, pretty big. The appliances were older, but they still worked okay. At one point the dish washer started making a weird noise, but the maintenance guy fixed it pretty fast.
I never had problems with the management, they didn't bother me and fixed my running toilet and drafty door seal the day after I called in. The maintenance guy liked to help whenever I had a problem so that was nice.
Parking wasn't bad, they would only give me 1 permit since I lived in a 1 bedroom. They say they will tow if someone can't find a spot, but i never saw that being a problem.
I didn't have a washer or dryer in my apartment so i had to use the laundromat by the stadium. It sucked not having it in my place, but the laundromat was pretty close and overall i think it saved me some money.
I would give this place a 4/5, it wasn't new but it was close to KU and i will miss it!
