I WILL NEVER recommend Founders Hill to any of my friends. I had the same feelings as all the other people, the appearance of the apartment buildings are new, clean, elegance, that must be a good place to live........and I WAS SO WRONG.

The management office WILL NOT help when there's real problem happened. There is NO CANCELLATION listed in the lease, what is really listed under cancellation in the lease is telling you they will raise the price for next year. If you live in more than one bedroom, you would have to get your roommates (all of them) to agree to let you sublease, say if you guys don't get along, you get stuck with the rent until the lease expires. The landlord doesn't pay for any utlities, and there are always no parking spots opened. The security deposit check came in one check with all the people who live in the apartment's name on it. So if you happened to study aboard or live with an international students that has to go home afterwards, be prepared that you would never be able to get that check cashed. Because you need everyone's signature to cash the check. The apartment staff seems very nice when I moved in, once I started having slight problems, none of them wants to help out. And they told me in my face that other than the rent, the rest is my own problem. The pet deposit is about 400 dollars, yeah, not a big deal, I could have adopt 10 cats or 5 dogs with 400 dollars from the shelter. The kitchen is super small, it's only good for people who doesn't know how to cook. And the shower's water pressure is HORRIBLE! And the drain at the shower, be prepare every 3 months you need to call maintaintence for cleaning up the HAIR that clogs it. If you know you will never had a question or problem, then go ahead and choose founders hill; but if you are an average person who might not get along with your roommates later, who might need some help in stopping your neighbors' noise, who might want to find a parking spot right away, who night want some more attention and help from the staff....then don't choose Founders Hill......

I lived in Founder's Hill from 2005 to 2006 in a 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit. Although there were some issues with our apartment, walls had some scrapes when we moved in, etc...we really didnt have any serious issues. Management, which may have changed by now...did help with problems in fact they were extremely friendly. They did raise the rent for our resign which was stupid and didn't make any sense so we left and didnt resign. Because I trust the people I live with, and wouldnt live with people that I didnt, we didnt always get along but all agreed on signing for a subleaser when our third roommate ran into some moving snags. We did have some issues with parking but that seems to happen almost anywhere in a college town, and although they sucked any apartment close to the stadium will have these problems. We asked for the check to be written to only one person so that one person could cash it and disperse the money and they agreed. (once again, the management may be different now...) They sound like they definitely have but it really used to be a wonderful place to live. Any pet deposit in all fairness is expensive...still haven't found a place that wasnt pretty high. If you consider rent per person there is anywhere from 340 to 860, then 400 is pretty fair. Also you can't complain about the size of the kitchen, you saw it when you signed the lease. The water pressure was fine perviously and if your drain needs to be cleaned every three months from hair...then either you or your roommates needed to do that yourself. I mean obviously if it happened on a continous basis then it was one of you shedding that much hair...so it was your own personal maintenance/cleaning issue. That's like saying your angry because they wouldnt come in and vacuum your apt...
