Positive Apartment Reviews and Ratings
Overall a nice place!!! ( over a year ago )

My girlfriend and I signed a 6 month lease and was pleased with the apartment and its staff. Our apartment was in great condition when we moved in and the carpet was freshly cleaned.
The only two times we had to call maintenance was for our disposer and a crew member came the next day both times and fixed it. Parking can be a little ruff but there is always a spot but you might have to walk a little bit.
With that said we had three problems. First we had a two bedroom and the first bedroom was not properly insulated and it was freezing in the winter and hot in the summer but we bought a small space heater that took care of the problem but payed for it on the electric bill. 2nd problem was when we resigned a new lease, we were quoted one price then when we went to sign a couple days later the price went up $25 more dollars. In total the price was raised $85.00 from what we had been paying. We were unhappy about that but we liked it enough to stay. Finally we had to move to Florida 3 months before our lease was up and it was gonna cost us over 2000 dollars to get out of our last 3 month. Luckly we found a subleaser.
Overall I liked living at the Marquis and I would recommend it!

I was surprised to read the reviews that are on here. I have lived here 4 years and yes the staff has changed in the past but the staff in place now has been here at least 2 years, so I am not concerned about that at all. As far as appearance goes, it was dumpy with trash every where until the newest manager came in. They enforce the rules, so to me that is worth paying extra for to not have to look at broken down cars, trashy lawns or patios. If you read the lease and agree to it, then you shouldn't have any problems. Again, I love it here and think the staff is taking much more pride than in the past. Come take a look for yourself and then look at the other apts in our area. and you'll see what I am talking about. The new complex across the road doesnt even plow the parking lots, I drove thru to pick up my friend that lives there and about wrecked my car and there was a suv on top of a fire hydrant. Whats up with that? <P>

I had the opportunity to tour the Marquis of Lakeside apartment as a potential residence, from the time that I walked in the door to the leasing office, presented my id and viewed a two bedroom apartment was approximately 7 mins. The leasing agant did not show a interest in actually showing the apartment to me and my party. There were no history of the complex, what ammenties that the complex offered, I was made to feel like it was due to my race for the lack of attention or her poor customer service. this is a strong sign that if I was to become a resident then the management will be poor. Just is a word of the wise if you are non white that ou may not get the justice that you deservel.
