Apartment Reviews for Highland Park - Overland Park

I have lived here for 4 years and in 3 different floor plans. The floor plans are great and the complex is very beautiful. The staff is great. I would use the gym and copy machine all the time and I never ever thought they were rude. Especially Rose is so sweet. She would chat with me and play with my baby girl. I just loved my apartment facing the basketball court. The other tenants are good too and the complex is very very safe to live in. The maintainence guys are the best. They would be in my apartment fixing things in just one hour after I made the call. I liked the A4 plan better than the A5 plan since it has more storage space. I am extremely <P>
happy with the staff and the floor plans and the ammenities and the maintainence. I think I can comment better because I have lived there for long. I hate to leave the place. <P>

Our apartment's walls had water marks due to rain the day after we moved in. During the next months, the roof started to leak. We made numerous calls. The only thing done was cosmestic repairs inside the apartment. This didn't work of course. During the last 4 months of our lease, whenever it rained, it leaked in the living room and bedroom. We had to put a tarp down and constantly rearrange furniture. It totally disrupted our lives. The management said they were doing roof repairs in the summer. In the summertime, the roofers left Highland park before our building was done. We were there for 13 and the problem was never resolved. <P>

I really like living at Highland Park. I've lived in other complexes and this is the first place that has had a staff that seems to know what they are doing and they are ALWAYS helpful. <P>

After moving every year for the last five years this place is great. Both Managment & maintenance have had changes for the better. I call and everything has been fixed the same day. <P>

The office staff is awesome, as is the maintenance staff. I'm sorry to be leaving! The property is beautiful and the grounds are beautiful!! <P>

Apartments are fairly nice, but could use some updating. Location is perfect. Neighbors were loud...some fighting at night in the parking lot. Common indoor hallways reek of Indian food. Did not feel secure. Rape of another tenant occurred in complex. Leasing staff had bad attitudes, very snotty and unhelpful. Maintenance seemed fine. Very nice grounds.
