Apartment Review for Country Acres Apartments

Although the management here is quite friendly, there are many issues that make this a "not so great" place to live. The construction is very cheap, materials were bottom-end - plastic two-by-fours, fake wood trim, cabinetry that is falling apart after just one year, terrible sealing on windows and doors, and little insulation. Because of the poor construction, there is a whole lot of other issues that follow such as, a LOT of neighbor noise, things aging/wearing after just a year, high energy bills, etc... I think one of the major issues is that there is no onsite management or maintenence. If you have an issue with maintenence, you call a number and get an automated system and hope someone calls you back. If you have problems with your neighbors (which we have) you don't get immediate help with that either. It's a larger property management company and when you need help you can sometimes feel lost in that. We also had a few burglaries where theives got into our "secure" underground parking and stole from people's vehicles. Also, we don't really get our mail. Not sure if the mailman eats it for lunch or our neighbors steal it...either way... <P>
