My family moved in about 5 months ago and we couldn't be happier. Everyone here is friendly and if you need something fixed it is fixed quickly. The staff is always nice and help anyone they can. The flowers and grass are kept up. Looking foward to summer and swimming in their pools. Neighbors are all nice and respectful. Very happy.

We moved into a 2BR/2BA apartment 2months ago. We like it very much. We are mid 60's and retired. Apartment is clean and modern. Having a washer & dryer en suite is a big plus. We've had two maintenance issues (replaced hot water heater and master bath exhaust fan). Both were handled quickly and professionally. The on-line maintenance request form seems to work very well. This is a good choice for us.

Looked nice at the start. They mow & take care of it outside, but when winter comes nothing is done. We had a ice storm this past winter & they did nothing. Zip, for a entire week. I saw people fall & we could not even step outside the door without fear of falling. It was pathetic. They claimed our pet peed on the carpet. The pictures they provided was of the back side of the carpet where we had a 200lb piece of furniture sitting. I guess our pet picked it up, peed, and then placed the furniture back to cover it up. Ceilings are thin. If the neighbors above have kids you will never get any sleep. Large dogs everywhere despite the lease saying your pets have to be less than 20 pounds.

I have lived at Mallard Crossing for more than 5 years and it has been a wonderful home. I have over the years gotten to know the office & maintenance staff who are always helpful...even when they seem very busy! I recently got all the appliances in my kitchen updated when I renewed my lease and it looks great! These apartments are kept very well. St Matthews is a more expensive area in Louisville to live in, and you get what you pay for. I think Mallard is worth every penny. <P>

We have lived here for 2 years now and are spoiled by the amazing amenities. The kitchen in our 2 bedroom apartment is bigger than some kitchens in small houses; and the second floor patio is as spacious as our bedroom closet. Plus, everything seems brand new.

Other than one of their staff persons, everyone seems to be receptive and helpful. Maintenance is excellent and personable. The location is incredible. We always felt safe and secure and the ONE time we had a problem it was dealt with immediately.

All in all, we have the best of everything! The only hard part is the cost involved in having our little slice of heaven.

My family and I enjoyed living at Mallard Crossing. As did the other reviewer, I found the staff to be unpleasant to deal with and often put out by my questions, needs, etc. The maintenance was fairly good IMO. I did not like the lighting of the parking lot - very hard to see at night. The biggest plus of MC is the grounds (which are immaculately kept) and the proximity to Brown Park and the walking trails. The pools and fitness center are also very good. I would recommend MC - but realize that you can probably only hope for a staff attitude change.
