I have lived here 4 plus years and I rate it high. N T S now owns and are doing a fantastic job. I had two prob lems, leak in kitchen sink and gear stripped in living room blinds. Work order turned in 10:30. am and fixed both by 4:15. New blinds installed. No mess in apt at all. Great communication from office to techies excellent service always. This company is out to please us, remember, it works both ways.

haven't had many problems here, but the management team are idiots. Have been called by them a couple of times and they were just nasty to us. Once we were accussed of not picking up our dogs waste and told we would be kicked out if it happened again when there are about 6 other dog owners that use the same yard. I don't want to step in my dogs crap why would I not pick it up? Also they sent us a bill for our rent and left off 50 cents. we didn't know since our rent changes month to month because of our utilities. They called us and told us if we didn't come by and pay them that day we would be evicted. OVER 50 cents, that wasn't even our fault! Also when we resigned our lease we had to turn it in 3 times because they lost it twice. Nice apartments, pretty quiet, decent rent for neighborhood, but office staff are idiots!

I had a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom. It was spacious but old- built in the 70's. Maintenance were efficient and timely, because they liked coming to an appartment with three 20-something female roomates. The office manager is lazy, and never returns your phone calls once you move in. We signed a 1 year lease, and 60 days before it was up we filled out a notice to vacate, (which the manager signed) We had a walk through scheduled on our last day there, which went fine. Then when we went to the office to turn in our keys, they said we still had another month left (meaning they wanted another $809). We lived there from nov1-oct31, we paid 12 months of rent, on time, but some idiot in the office named james must have counted his fingers incorrectly for our move out date. Who signs a 13 month lease? They are idiots! We have documentation and the 60 day notice to vacate, with the managers signature on it. But they are still demanding their $809. (Not to mention the Ista bill for a month we didnt even live there. If you dont know Ista is a bill for yours and everyone elses trash, sewage, water, and three other "fees"). Which is about $100 a month. So they want $900 for a month we didnt even step foot in the apartment- looks like we'll have to go to court.-no fun. I would not recommend plainview

Really nice place to live. I have read the complaints here and truly do not understand them. Having been a resident here for many years and finding management and maintenance wonderful, the grounds lovely, and any maintenance issues addressed immediately, it leaves me wondering, why the complaints. I love it and intend to continue living where I feel I am a valued member of the community!

Office staff and maintenance are always professional and courteous. Darrell Hamlin (manager) & Karen Roberts (assistant manager) are the absolute best! Going into the office is like being greeted by friends! Request for maintenance are done quickly and correctly. The grounds are kept very nicely and the community is quiet and charming. We have lived here three years and have never been unsatisfied with any aspect of Plainview! We would highly recommend living here! Great location, great community and at reasonable prices.

There have been some reviews posted on this site saying that Plainview is loud, and filled with low-rent tenants. Okay, question, what do you mean by low-rent tenants? If they mean people that can't afford anything better on the east-end, but still want to be close to their work, or college kids who still would like to be close to their school, and oh yeah, why are you here? Also there were complaints about noise also. YOU LIVE NEXT TO HURSTBOURNE LN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT DO YOU EXCEPECT?? That is like living next to the Watterson, or 65 or the airport and complaining about noise. You want a sound proof residence; buy a home, since you obviously are not a low rent tenant. I love Plainview and will probably stay here until I can buy a home.
