Apartment Review for Tanglewood

My boyfriend and I have been at Tanglewood for almost 8 months. I would not choose to live here again if I knew how poor the management was. Our building's hot water boiler goes out about once a month, sometimes more, and we are left with no hot water for 2-3 days. We have found huge roaches, and when pest control makes their rounds every few months we tell them and they spray something under our kitchen sink that they swear up and down is "safe for pets". Obviously it doesn't work. The workers that are sent in response to complaints are all hispanic and can't speak english, and are loud as all get out and don't seem to do a very good job. At one point we had a squirrel that chewed a hole above our apartment outside our patio (we are on the first floor) and was living above us scurrying around and chewing on our ceiling. We were afraid it would get into our apartment and attack our cat, so we called management and they showed up about 3 or 4 days later and nailed a piece of wood over the hole, BLOCKING THE SQUIRREL INSIDE. My boyfriend removed the wood so that the squirrel wouldn't die, and we called again to get them to fix it. It took 2 weeks for them to show up, at which point the squirrel had chewed a gaping hole in our ceiling and was sticking its head in it. We put duck tape over the hole to keep it from coming into our living room. Because of them being slow, they had to repair the hole in our ceiling too. Then they complained about the tape we put over the hole ripping the paint off the ceiling. We got a puppy and told the office, at which point they told us "dogs are not allowed in our building, they are only allowed in certain buildings" which is BS. No one told us when we signed the lease that dogs were not allowed in our building. The price is decent, and the layouts are pretty nice. The neighborhood is quiet for the most part, except on weekends when people are blasting rap music in their car and cutting up outside our patio. There are constant planes flying overhead with it being next to ups. The laundry center is a joke, the washers and dryers must be over 10 years old and barely work. When there is construction being done the hispanic workers never shut up and it gets really annoying. I would not recommend Tanglewood. You can find places that are similarly priced with better management.
