Apartment Reviews for Tanglewood - Louisville

I have stayed at Tanglewood for 2 years now. I have no complaints to date! The office staff is very friendly, nice and approachable. Also the maintenance staff is very reliable, and provide timely service. 24hr emergency service available too and I have used it once for AC malfunction with good response. The apartment complex is nicely kept with recent new landscaping including jogging trail with lights. It may not be as scenic as other St. Mathews area apartments but for the price its worth every penny. Its located off I-65 and just 12-15min drive to downtown and 5-7min drive to the airport. That being said if your a light sleeper then you may get disturbed by flights early morning if you have your windows open. But in all Tanglewood is a great place to live for singles and families.

I have lived at Tanglewood on in off for 2 years. The reason I say on and off is because the first time that I stayed at Tanglewood I decided to go to a different apartment to see if I can find something a little less espensive and although I did it was now were as near as nice as Tanglewood. The office staff is excellent, they are very nice if you have any issues you can always go and talk to them. Also the maintenance staff is very reliable, most of the time if I have something wrong with my apartment they can come and fix it the very same day if not the next day. The actual apartment is huge for 1 bedroom and the grounds are always kept clean, the grass is always mowed and there's not trash everywhere so that's always a plus because you don't live anywhere where it doesn't look just nice outside that it does on the inside. I know there apartment that are cheaper but it really it ttrue that you get what you pay for. Oh and also before I forget, being right by the expressway is a major plus! I can hope on and get anywhere real quick. All together Tanglewood is a great place to live for the entire the family and great if you just want to be away from all the noise and stuff from the city.

Apartment is very quite, I hardly know anyone else is in the building. They are also a very well maintained complex.

The staff is very pleasant and willing to help with any situation. I would highly recommend Tanglewood to anyone

My husband and I have lived here at tanglewood for over 11 years. We have had the chance to move several times over the years, and we haven't. I just don't want to leave, it's home! The staff are great! Brandy and Brooke are so sweet and awesome, and any problem you may have they have it fixed right away! I haven't used the weight room but it looks really nice, and the pool is great. I love the walking path and lights around the buildings. The only complaint I have is that I cant have a dog in my building, but I do have a cat. Great place to live, I would tell anyone that is thinking of getting an apt, that tanglewood is the place!

I moved in a few months ago. It's quite and my dog loves the bark park and jogging path. I had a few things wrong with my apartment and every time i called they came out the next day! Such a breath of fresh air. Best place I've ever lived.

I have lived here at Tanglewood for a year and I simply love it. I moved here from Old Louisville once I graduated college and have not regretted it. It has easy access to the Interstate, close to shopping centers, and close to a lot of different restaurants.

The staff here is awesome. Any problems that have arisen has been taken care of quickly. I had an issue with crickets back in the fall, and the next day the Pest control had been to my unit. Speaking of pest control, they come to spray your apartment every three months which helps eliminates extra vistors.

The maintaince staff here is great. I had an issue with my toilet not flushing and it was fixed that day. My sink began leaking, and at 8pm that night they fixed that too. It is very quite in my complex, i never have any rowdy neighbors, and the ones that do have pets you never hear them. I would highly recommend this place to someone seeking to move out.

The only cons that i have, 1) its close to UPS so you will hear planse all the time, and 2) the pet policy is kind of crazy. You must pay a deposit, plus a monthy pet rent in addition to your monthy rent.

The apartments are actually pretty nice. The appliances and fixtures are up-to-date, not the 1970s cabinets that I've seen at several others. The living room area surprised me, its actually pretty large, didn't expect that. I'm not sure about the laundry room on-site because I've got a washer/dryer hook up. The office and maintenance staff are excellent, nice and always ask if there is an problems. The only issue that I've had is that the exhaust fan in the bathroom quit, it was fixed the next day. The fitness room I was also surprised by, its no urban active or golds gym, but for an apartment complex, not bad. The grounds are mowed every week, and they just put in a row of lights in the back of the apartment complex next to walking track. I like it.

Tanglewood is one of the best apartments I have ever lived in. They are very friendly and respond very quickly to any problems you may have. The ground are very well maintained and everyone you encounter is so nice and alwasy says hello. Honestly for the price you can't ask for any better, the ammenities provided are far beyond what you would expect for such a great price. I would and have recommended these apartments to anyone and everyone I know.

I recently went through the "hassle" of finding another apartment. Tanglewood has everything I need! In addition to location, right off the expressway), the office staff are the nicest I have ever dealt with! the grounds are keep so clean. Flowers, trees and the grass is kept cut. No trash blowing around the grounds or even around the dumpsters. The apartments are spacious and very quiet. My old apartment, we heard EVERYTHING! Im on the first floor and rarely hear my neighbors even walking around, and 2 younger females live above me. My neighbors have all been very nice and again, the staff is great. Even the maintenance guys are friendly and FAST! I've lived in my "share" of apartments but Tanglewood is the best thus far!

I absolutely love living in Tanglewood apartments and the staff is exceptional. It is very quiet and the neighbors are like family.

I Love Tanglewood. It is so quiet and the people are very friendly. I'm not an apartment kind of person. But if you have to be in an apt.this (Tanglewood) is
the place to be. Anytime I go into the office they are so nice, when you are away from hone it is so nice to be around nice folks.

I just moved into Tanglewood a few months ago. My apartment is beautiful and my neighbors are awesome! I have actually made friends in my building since I have moved in! Tiffany and Brandy are the best and are always so nice and friendly when you talk to them. I haven't had any maintenace issues yet. I plan on staying here for a long time. Highly recommend!

My husband and I are very happy so far with our 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment. Its very spacious! The staff at Tanglewood go above and beyond to meet all your needs and to make the stress of moving into a new enviroment a easy one.Brandy and Tiffany are always so pleasant,they have been a breath of fresh air for us. We needed a couple of repairs and they were completed the same day we called. We also received a follow up call to ensure they were completed...amazing!I would recommend Tanglewood for anyone that is looking for a pleasant and peacful place to call their home.

I have been living in my apartment by myself since February 2010 and I have no major complaints. The apartment complex and my apartment is very quiet... or I just have really quiet neighbors. The maintenance staff is very helpful and friendly. The staff at the office is always cheerful. My apartment is in very good condition and if there are ever issues, they are usually resolved within the same day. The pool is nice and the fitness center is great and never crowded. The only complaint that I have is within the past two years, my rent was raised... with this last year being the mostly costly; however, I do plan on staying in this apartment until I am able to move into my own house.

I moved into Tanglewood almost 2 years ago. This is by far the best place i have ever rented. The office ladies are really nice and always helpful. I have not had many maintenance issues, but when I have they have been done fast. My neighbors are nice and quiet. If anyone is looking for a safe, quiet place, close to everything with great service, I recommend Tanglewood to anyone. I'll be here atleast another 2 years until i buy a home.

I move to TW Mar. 26, 2009, and I could not be happier. My job was only a jump away, friends & co-workers all lived very nearby. The ladies in the rent office were all AWESOME and Caring. Maintenance, whenever I needed them were always on time, never waited more than a day after I called. I recently moved to a patio home, and just let me say that I miss TW already, its just been seven days, sense I moved. I cried when I had to return keys. I didn't expect to be that! emotional. However, God has blessed me beyond what I ever could imagine for myself, and if I could afford to live in both places, believe me!...I would..."If u lived here...you would already be home"..:))

I've been here for 6 months and it's been a great living experience. The staff is professional and caring. The apartments are very spacious! The location of Tanglewood is convenient. It's close to businesses, schools, restaurants and the interstate highway. So I'm not far from work! The other residents are friendly and it's relatively quiet. If you're looking for some apartments to live in, I highly recommend Tanglewood Apts.

i have recently moved here and i love it! i love it more than the house i rented for almost seven years. the location is perfect! The apartments are huge! the floor plans are unique. it seems like the property owners are always doing something around here to keep things clean and updated. The management team is very friendly and really care about their tenants. maintenance will respond to any problems right away. I would definitely recommend this place to others ---

I've lived at Tanglewood for two and a half years and really enjoy it. The staff is always helpful and friendly and any maintenance issues are dealt with quickly. The pool and gym are new and modern and it seems the property owners take pride in keeping the grounds landscaped and updated. I really have no complaints and would refer this place to anyone....

Remodeling and the maintenance of the property expense is probably the biggest cost anybody has, but Tanglewood managed to keep up with it: new roofs, balconies, pool, the landscape, interior paintings, signage, etc. It is always an ongoing process with them. They are definitely not behind the curve. I am very impressed that Tanglewood continues to strive in that aspect. A lot of other properties neglect maintaining the appearance of the grounds, but Tanglewood definitely does not.

Pest problems? I had none whatsoever, but Tanglewood do offer free pest control if needed. Any property can have pest problems due to occupants who do that keep a clean environment. Maybe that is why they offer free pest control services.

Check the place out! It does not hurt. Ask for Brandy, she has been great to me. I have been here for 6 years now. It is not normal for her to not stop you to see how you are doing.

My year, so far, at Tanglewood has been so nice! Even though it's close to the airport, it is quieter than the house I rented in a high foot traffic area. Maintenance requests are responded to in 24 hours. The apartment is large. The electric is really reasonable. The office staff is friendly and helpful. This is home at least until I retire.

I am very happy to say that I would recommend Tanglewood apartments to anyone I know, including family. I am a female college student who works nights and I've never had any issue with safety. Staff is extremely professional as well. They never put me in any situations where I felt they were overly invasive or pushy; they are exactly the opposite, really considerate and relaxed. These apartments are very affordable but you do not sacrifice quality. If you are looking for somewhere to live in a respectable apartment, you certainly owe it to yourself to at least visit and judge for yourself. You wont be let down. The grounds are well kept and there is plenty parking. Lots of perks and pets allowed!

I have to say I am pretty impressed with life here at Tanglewood. Being in the center of the county makes my commute anywhere seem less painful. The rent ($499.50 for me)is not bad, especially considering the space, which is 812 square feet! You would be hard pressed to find anything bigger for that price. After a hard days work, you have six fast food restaurants to choose from if you do not feel like cooking.

We have a 24 hour laundry center, a fitness center, a pool, prompt maintenance staff despite what you may have read in earlier reviews, a quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking, monthly pest control operations, energy efficient windows and furnaces, and well kept grounds. The office staff will even give you free range with their fax and copy machines, and even free furnace filters. I dont really now what else you could expect.

Yes, there are frequent notices of maintenance being done on the plumbing, but this is due to the residents constantly washing food down the kitchen sinks. I know of 0 break-ins, car or otherwise. As far as the claim about child predators living in the area, at last check, there are none for miles.

My only real complaint is the carpeting. It is this bland brown color that resembles a dirt road. Other then that, I doubt you will find a sweeter place to rest your head. Just be mindful of the stray cats. They may look cute but some of them are armed. Just give them the cat food and walk away.

My husband and I have lived here a yr now, and we have not had any problems whatsoever. During the holidays I was working 3rd shift and always felt very safe coming home while my husband was at work. I highly recommend Tanglewood Apts to anyone looking for an apt. on this side of town.

Ive been here since June 2009 and I can honestly say I have no complaints with Tanglewood. My apartment is great. Neighbors keep to themselves. Office people are very friendly. I called maintenence for the first time this week to fix a problem with my dishwasher. The maintenence guy came over within a few hours and the office staff called me within an hour of him finishing just to make sure it got done. Ive never experienced better service at the last two places I've lived. My only concern is that no one really patrols the parking lot, but I can park really close to my apartment and never heard of any vehicle break-ins. Im pleased.

We moved in here in August and haven't had any big problems. I don't know what the past reviews experienced but there aren't any break-ins that we have experience and the staff is really nice! Maintenance is good too, if we need anything they are always willing to help. The fitness center is nice and never crowded. We have enjoyed living here so far.
