I've lived at these apartments for a few years now. Although I did have a couple of problems initially with management, they were invariably due to misunderstanding rather than any fault on the part of management. I am in the military and thought that reporting certain things such as short-term deployment were enough, but that isn't the case.

Still, with proper notification, management has been very helpful during my stay, both in regard to any problems due to deployment or maintenance issues.

These apartments are a little older now, and could stand some repair; however, they are quiet (in regard to both neighbors and location). About the only time I've ever had to deal with any noise was because these ARE student apartments, and kids will be kids sometimes.

Upkeep is wonderful here, and one of the only problems I've seen is that often there is trash laying around some of the dumpsters. This isn't a problem with management, it's because DESPITE notices NOT to put things like sofas or large machines in the dumpsters, people do it anyway. When the trash pickup comes, sometimes these items cause partial failure of of the truck dumping-mechanism, or they push lighter trash aside, causing it to fall to the ground instead of into the truck.

I've encountered a couple of problems with my air conditioning unit and been forced to call after-hours, but the response has been, on both occasions, timely and professional.

All my correspondence or interactions with Debra, the current manager, have been professional, courteous, friendly, and very, very helpful. The front office girls come and go, some are better than others, but Debra has always been a gem as far as I'm concerned.

The same with the maintenance men; Gary has always been friendly and helpful, even going so far as to install a shower head I purchased because I asked him if it was okay for me to put it in. It wasn't part of his job, he just DID it.

As I said earlier, these apartments are older now, and definitely in need of some work, but overall, were it not for the fact that I recently married and simply need more room, I'd be happy to remain in this location for another period just as long as the previous.

Parking has seldom been a problem, and the complex is mostly filled with either young students, or more frequently with foreign students attending the local university. I have never had a problem with any of the other tenants. On one occasion I asked someone to turn their music down and they immediately complied.

It's not that I WOULD recommend these apartments to my friends, it's that I HAVE recommended them repeatedly and would continue to do so.

The lease IS yearly-renewing, so if you plan to move you MUST notify within the terms specified in the contract, or you'll get stuck with another year. Rent IS due on the dates from the 1st of the month through the 5th, so if your rent is overdue, you WILL be charged a late fee.

These things are, in my opinion, not unreasonable or uncommon, and certainly not reason to respond negatively about this complex. Those who do have likely run afoul through their own negligence, and I'd be perfectly willing to take the matter up with any dissenting parties.
