This apartment is quiet, with many older folks as residents. Parking is good. The lot is well-lighted and "gated"...although the side entrance is always open, so that's kind of a joke.
There is a pool, chapel, hair salon, small work-out area, mail boxes, and corner store/deli. The inside and outside of the complex is kept neat and clean.
The downside is maintenance. The elevators are often slow and broken. Since one of the two main elevators is always turned off, people often take the freight elevator. If that is in use, there is only one elevator. If there is a problem in your room, maintenance will usually be there after the second complaint.
The price is a little steep, but the location of the apartment is perfect: on Bayou St. John next to City Park, ten minutes from downtown. Overall, the apartment building is safe, secure, quiet, and clean.
