Where to begin? First, your apartment will be FILTHY when you move in. That is a hard fact. Every single person who has moved into Oakbrook complains about how disgusting their unit is when they move in. I thought mine was the only one -- but after talking to neighbors, apparently they think cleaning is our responsibility. (After they charge you for cleaning on move out!) Deposit: Haha... if you think you're getting your deposit back, think again. I had my apartment cleaned professionally, everything was in much better condition than when I moved in... I've sent 3 emails to management (just to find out that the manager has quit), asking about my deposit. I just called and talked to a nasty girl who told me I "must not understand, maam" when I told her that my deposit should have been returned 30 days after move out. She said 30 days is when they actually inspect the apartments. The only problem is that someone was living in my apartment 15 days after I moved out. So they have someone inspect the apartment for damages after the other tenant has moved in? In that case, she's correct -- I do not understand! I lived in Oakbrook for a year. I also lived without an outside light for a year. I lived without a toilet paper rack for a year. I lived without a working refridgerator for 2 months. If things are broken, no matter how many times you remind the staff, they will not get fixed. Please..... Please.... do not live here!!!!!!!!!!!
