Apartment Review for Liberty Commons

I was very impressed by the look of these apartments when I saw them online. Physically, the units are very nice. Nice floor plans, nice carpet and appliances but that's really as far as the "niceness" goes. The property itself is not maintained as well as it should be. The landscaping is lacking and sometimes trash (stacks of phone books, newspaper inserts, etc) will sit in the building doorways for weeks before being cleaned up. It takes multiple complaints to get any work done - Example - Pigeons were nesting on the third floor windows and pooping everywhere - on porches, window ledges, etc. It really was becoming a health hazard. Only after multiple complaints by multiple tenants was anything done. Good luck if you ever have any "real" problems. Despite paying a premium in rent, they are less than happy to help resolve any problems. If you like to sleep past 6 AM or have to work anything other than a typical 8 - 5 job, get a top floor unit or you can literally hear your neighbor peeing in the bathroom. God help you if you have someone who has "lead feet" in the apartment above you. Kiss your right to "peaceful enjoyment" goodbye. Again, something the management doesn't care to much about. Watch out for the bedbugs. Several of the units have been infested and management attempts to gloss-over the seriousness of this problem. Only after seeing the exterminator here for 3-4 days, were the tenants notified as to what was going on and this was only after people had demanded answers. In short, you can find a house or duplex to rent for the same amount of money and a lot less of the hassle.

BTW - Redbank Village is right next door and its not somewhere I would walk around at night. And the airport is literally 300 yards down the street. The noise isnt as bad as you would expect but you do notice it.
