Review for Key Landing Apartments

Gated community, allows criminals to "walk" right past them at all hours of the night. No security. Parking is horrible, at best. The apartments are very old and in very poor condition, i.e. walls are a mess, creaky floors, mold in bathrooms and under cabinets. The apartments are large and that is it. The problem with the large apartments is that I have 12 people living upstairs from me. I have never had a problem with maintenence nor ther office staff, although the manager Becky, leaves alot to be desired. Guess she wishes she was in Roland Park or Columbia. BE WARNED: It is apparent to everyone who lives here, that the tow company that you will surely see when you arrive, are on Southern Managements payroll, or major kickbacks are occuring. I had a friend park in the GUEST lot, but he was slightly over the yellow line, and the tow driver jacked the car up to tow away. However, be advised, they didn't tow him, they sat there for nearly an hour waiting for us to exit. When we did it was $50.00 to get him to drop the car. The neighbors in back by the guest lot usually will call you if you ask them and they watch them all night long doing the same to everyone. Make sure you keep cash to get visitors cars off the tow truck. Seedy people, ugly buildings, very old, in desperate need of a makeover, I would suggest if at all possible, try to rent from a private homeowner. I know apartments are limited here, but I can almost promise that you will be very sorry you moverd here, unless you have 5 kids and several adults and could care less about what your home looks and SMELLS like.
