We have been living at the Carlyle for 1 1/2 years and it has gone from okay to worse. Originally, it was just problems with the elevators. Then they took away central air conditioning and gave us window units. The only problem is that they forgot to consider the power implications of the window units. As a result, whenever it is cold or warm outside, we have lost power (this means NO HEATING)!!! Originally, this was just an inconvenience at once a month, but now this is happeneing every other day and it's only going to get colder!!!! Management has been unwilling to fix problems; they only implement stop-gap measures to get us through the night.
To summarize, the prices are pretty good for the location and the amount of space you get, but there is a poor power infrastructure, elevators that break down, and an overworked maintenance staff that can't keep up with the aging building infrastructure.
