Horrible Apartments

This is the worse place. I would not recommend any one moving here. This was the biggest mistake I had ever made. And you pay a lot of money and get nothing. There's no individual washer and dryer, the laundry rooms are gross, the playgrounds are yucky, the hallways are smelly, and the elevator is always broken down and the interior needs to be fixed up. Don't let the appearance of the buildings in the front fool you. The buildings in the back on Fallstaff are broke down and old.

First, maintenance is beyond lazy. They are always doing half jobs or they don't seem to understand what to do and to make matters worse they have an attitude. For example, I sent a work order for my closet door to be repaired because it was completely off track. The door was actually leaning against the wall. When I got home, they left a note that there was nothing wrong with the door, but instead the changed the bottom lock to the front door. When I called to inquiry about it, the maintenance guy only looked in one bedroom for the broken closet door and they changed the lock because they had lost my key and could not get in the apartment.

Second, my BGE bill is over $600 per month, because the heating circulation is horrible. The pilot light to the heating system kept blowing out at least 6 times per month. One day during the winter, it was a very nice January day, almost 70 degrees. When I got home around 8:30 at night, my apartment was freezing and the pilot light had blown out, so we had no heat. So I called maintenance and they refused to come out because they said it was a nice day. So I had to remind them that although it was a nice day, it's still winter and the temperature was steadily falling to 30 degrees, and they still refused to fix it. Someone finally showed up the next day around noon. It basically felt like we slept outside.

Then they sent a letter to my apt., threatening to evict me if I didn't pay the outstanding balance. Well the outstanding balance listed in the letter was 50 cents. Somebody actually signed it and delivered it to my door. So I had to call up there fussing about 50 cents; so they agreed to let me pay the 50 cents on next months bill.

On my moving day, the elevator was broke and I had to postpone my move. I moved in the carpet wasn't completely down, the blinds were dirty, I had to make them give me a new refridge, the dishwasher barely worked, and I had to keep calling them because water was leaking in my walls.

I could go on and on, but I just want everyone who reads this to seriously rethink moving there. I read this site and a few others and dismissed all the bad remarks that other people were saying, but it is all true. I will not be renewing my lease.
