Apartment Reviews for Silver Spring Station Apartments - Baltimore

Silver Spring Station is a good place to live. That being said, the rent (and pet rent) are a little pricey for the area, given that you can get the same space for less elsewhere. My only major complaints with the apartment is that I can hear the neighbors above AND below (when yelling), and if the people above you have a pet, you'll hear them running back and forth day and night. Also, in order to dry your clothes, you'll need to run the dryer for about 3 hours (over three full cycles) just to get them somewhat "dry." We had minor problems with some maintenance - light switches not working, etc, but once we had maintenance come out (about a week or so later) they had the problem resolved. The only other real problem I have is that I was told that some of the appliances were brand new when we moved in. The aforementioned dryer had gum stuck to the drum on the inside (thus rendering it useless until it was replaced), and the refrigerator had some stains and funky smells. These were minor compared to some of the issues I've had to deal with at most apartment places. <P>
On a positive note, I am female and have never felt unsafe living here, even at night. I grew up in this area and it is a very safe place to live. Most of the residents are either older or have families, so it's not really a "party" place. <P>
