Apartment Reviews for The Irene Apartments
Great home!

The Irene isn't for everyone, I guess. The entire population of Friendship Heights does tend to be on the more advanced in age side, and the Irene residents are definitely no exception. That being said, the residents and staff alike are very friendly and we have some amusing characters here. The maintenance staff is top notch, every complaint I've ever submitted has been taken care of in less than a day, and I really do love my unit. I'm lucky in that I'm next to the stairwell and on the back end of the building (where there is a stream and lots of trees out my window!) so I never ever ever have heard a peep from my neighbors. I have two roommates and we are all musicians- one is a drummer and the neighbors have commented that they can hear him drumming from the hallway, but don't hear a single sound from their apartments. I have cats and am charged a monthly pet rent (my biggest annoyance with this place actually). The building is pretty old, but not in a bad way really. I've had a great year here and will be really sad to leave this place (Can't afford it on my own and one of my roommates is leaving the area. bummer.)
