I lived in Key Landing for 8 years and loved every minute I lived there. It is surrounded by water, you can fish any time you want to, my neighbors were the best. They had the best maintenance team ever, problems were always taken care of in a very timely manner. All the maintenance team were very well mannered, the best. The grounds are very well kept. Barbecues in the summer, movies on big screens for all tenants. I just loved Key Landing.

I remember when these apartments were called Hidden Cove and not the safest place to be. It is definitely an improvement over that.
The Good: We have a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment on the bottom floor. The rooms are decent sizes and there is more than adequate closet space. Resident parking lots definitely help on finding a spot, but the lots are pretty full by 9 PM. The pool is very clean and rarely crowded. Leasing office is pretty helpful, maintenance is quick. Cleaning ladies come around each morning and mop the hallways. There is constantly something going on for the residents; flea market, movie night, ice cream party, food drive, clothes drive, flu shots, bingo games, etc.
The Bad: centipedes. I hate these bugs. Being on the bottom floor with bushes and shrubs in front of our windows makes it worse. From Dec-May we average 10 centipedes a week. Spiders are pretty common but no roaches!!! Snow removal is crap too. Whoever they use to plow needs to be fired. The parking lots aren't plowed until late in the day so forget going into work if you have a car and its more than 5 inches of snow. The parking lot dips down a lot and that freezes into ice which they do nothing about. The only other issue we had was that they wouldn't hold the apartment we wanted for 10 days before we could move in, so we ended up paying more in rent the first month.

I was shown a 1 bedroom apartment with balcony and water view on the second floor of the complex, which is just what I needed. I paid the application fee and was told I would get a phone call when approved. The next day I went to measure the apartment to make sure my furniture would fit....The following day I learned that I was approved to move into the apartment, but they gave the apartment to a tenant that now lives in another apartment on the complex. I spoke to the manager explaining that was an unfair practice and not very business like and not good advertisement for them. I asked that they reconsider and she assured me the existing tenant would be asked to reconsider and stay in the apartment he now lives in and wait for the next available apartment with a balcony. How can the management show an apartment, take my application fee and than tell me they gave the apartment which was shown to me to someone else???
