Apartment Reviews for Sherwood Crossing Apartments
Nice apartments, great location, reasonable price

I was returning to MD in 2002 from out of state and knew I wanted Howard County as a location, nice area, central (easy access to Baltimore/DC/Annapolis), good dining & shopping. I also knew this is a fairly expensive living area...after some comparison shopping, this complex was the most attractive, private, reasonably priced and comfortable one around. We got a bright, spacious, clean, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2nd floor apartment (no neighbors above and quiet ones all around) with a balcony I LOVE. I get a dinner with sunset view on it daily!
* Maintenance was usually prompt and efficient. A dishwasher leak was quickly and well corrected. An annoying toilet sometimes took a couple tries, but with apologies and attention from the staff. No big deal.
* Parking was adequate. I read reviews that made me nervous about this before moving in, but my fears were groundless. Sometimes visitors had to walk far from the visitor lot, but I never had to fight for one myself. And they didnt always have to use the visitor lot.
* We have new windows, sliding glass doors, balcony rails, siding, etc. It looks great and I'm glad they're concerned about energy costs. (A good friend lives in a nearby apt. complex off Rt. 100 and she has horrible insulation, freezing in the winter with the heat cranked all the way up. Ours has been fine).
* Nice amenities. The pool has always been clean and staffed with pleasant, unobtrusive guards. Tennis courts & volleyball pit are nice too. The little gym is not exciting...very basic.
* Next to the elementary school so you can walk over and use the baseball field, basketball courts, etc. I also walk often up the street to the nursery (great produce and plants...good for your balcony!). Good dry cleaner & pizza/sub shop right around the corner. 5 minutes from grocery stores, video rentals, golfing, and good shopping centers.
* Ok...one trash deposit site for the complex isn't ideal, but you get over it quickly. And they have recycling too!
I have just been very satisfied. We're working young professionals and this complex has been everything we needed: affordable, perfect location (off 95, near 100), quiet neighborhood, and attractive/roomy apartment. (I only write now because were finally getting a house and wanted to help someone else who might be in the same situation I was a couple years ago trying to make a decision!)
