Pluses And Minuses

There are plenty of perks to living at the Pinnacle, but there are an equal number of disadvantages. It's location is near plenty of restaraunts, a Safeway and a wide range of stores. However, its also near a fire station and major highway (118), so be prepared for plenty of noise, especially if you live closer to the highway. There are 6 foot windows, which means plenty of light, but they cover most exterior walls, meaning furniture placement can be tricky. There is quite a bit of parking, but if you come home after 5pm you probably won't be parking next to your apartment. The neighborhood is generally safe, only a few blocks from the police station, but there have been a few issues. On numerous occasions we have encountered groups of teenagers loitering around the apartment, sometimes smoking pot, who have harrassed us. The management does not really enforce their pet policy. Dogs are not always leashed, or picked up after, and we've seen restricted breeds in the complex. This has led to several encounters with growling dogs whose owners weren't all that close. Maintenance is subpar. Two weeks after we moved in the fridge failed. They replaced it the next day, but they managed to let all the water leak out of the lines all over the kitchen floor, then dragging the fridge out they scratch the floor, walls, and front door. We also had numerous issues with the hot water- we basically didn't have it for a week, and because they were "fixing" it we didn't get any money off the rent for the inconvienence. The units are gorgeous, until you actually get into them. The molding around our bathroom door had been some previous tenant's dog's chew toy, the bathtub wasn't very clean. Prior to move in I had to request they clean both the carpet and the siding around our patio, which was covered in grime, even though the carpet had supposedly been cleaned already. Depending on the unit some of the kitchens are tiny, and others are quite spacious, which is the thing we are going to miss the most after we move.
