mouse and maintenance and message ( over a year ago )

Reviewed by: Anonymous
I have only been a tenant for 49 days and have already seen 3 mice and even took one out still alive in my trash bag when taking out the trash.
You should be required to have a cat while living here.
Building Service doesn't respond to calls and messages for service requests are a joke, after you sign your lease you are own your own. Management acts as if they are concerned but nothing happens.
If you like mice and a lot of dirt dust and forgotten messages, then Franklin Park is the rat trap for you.
Enjoy
I give this place five stars are dirt dust and mice. I give it a negative five stars are everything else.

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER, COMPARE IT WITH A 3RD WORLD COUNTRY, BUT WORST BECAUSE THEY TRY TO HIDE THE BAD PARTS, LIKE YOUR LIFE MEANS NOTHING HERE. YOU WILL BE ROBBED OR KILLED IN BROAD DAY LIGHT, AND NO ONE CARES OR LESS IT HITS HOME. THEY HAVE MORE RATS, MICE, AND BUGS THAN A PERSON WILL EVER SEE IN DOLLAR BILLS IN A LIFE TIME. MANAGEMENT WILL NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONES TO COMPLAINT ABOUT A PROBLEM, AND THEY DO NOT FIX PROBLEMS IN YOUR APARTMENT. I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 8 YEARS TOO LONG, AND THE ONY REASON, WHY I AM STILL HERE IS BECAUSE I AM DISABLE, AND CANT GET ANOTHER APARTMENT, ELSEWHERE ON MY SALARY. THE ONLY THING ELSE THAT I CAN SAY IS THAT, YOU MOVE HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. THEY CALLED THEMSELVES REMODELING THE APARTMENTS TOO, BUT THEY HAVE SO MANY MICE RUNNING THROUGH THESE APARTMENT, REMODELING DOES NOT HELP. BEWARE.

I Would not recommend my worst enemy to live in this mice infested place. I move in 2008 and made various complanint to mamagement, and the city of greenbelt, to no avail. The new name should be "Mice Hotel" Let the mice pay the rent! Looking for a place to rent run as fast as you can away from Springhill Lake.

This is the worse place I have ever live in. Security is solely rest on law enforcements, maintenance a mess, apartment infested with Cockroaches and mice right into your bedroom. I live there for 4 years; first two years, building was on fire, so was transferred to another apartment in the complex but the last two years was just a nightmare. I had to break my lease and pay penalty of a month’s rent for the love of my life and that of my family.

I moved here on a whim to start divorce proceedings and get my own place. Had I done my research, I would not have moved here. The day I moved in I heard that the lady upstairs had her car broken into. That should have been a red flag but I dismissed it as a random event. Months later, I had my drivers side window smashed in. My basement neighbors played music very loudly and were very inconsiderate. When I would tell people where I lived, they'd jones on me, and say oh my god, you live there. It is notorious for car break ins, and my associate who is a cop, said that this complex has the highest criminal activity in the county. The complex is way too huge, I don't even know how management can function.Recently, I had no water period, for 3 days. I am so glad to be moving to a much quieter, safer, community. The apartment itself was fine and maintenance was timely, but it's not worth the safety risk. They are making all these rennovations to improve the look and feel, but you can't change the people.

I've lived here for almost a year and it has its pros and cons. Pros: nice spacious floorplans and great value. I got a one bedroom with almost 800 sqft, anywhere else you would only get maybe 500-600 for the price. The parking is pretty good, the grounds are kept clean, and the location is good, right next to the Beltway Plaza shopping center. Cons: maintenance takes a long time to respond to my problems, even when they do come the problem was not always fixed. When I first moved in there were so many problems with the inside that I had to call maintenance almost everyday to fix something. That's not what anyone wants when they're moving into a new apartment. The walls are thin and I can hear everything above me, also there are roaches in the kitchen and bathroom as well even though I keep my apartment clean all the time. Overall I would recommend this place to others looking for a lot of space for the money, and probably because this was my first apartment and just happy to have one that I learned to take the good with the bad. <P>
