Issues:
Parking (for you and even worse for your guests).
Accessibility to your building.
"Unavoidable" issues accompanied by an apologetic letter.

Positives:
Concierge

I have lived at the Enclave for almost 6 months now in building 11235. The accessibility is terrible. It's nice that it's on the corner of 450 and 29, but PARKING is TERRIBLE. You can choose to park underground, but that's an extra $50 a month. Don't plan on having friends over unless you like to inconvenience them. There is no guest parking. They have to park on the street and The Enclave is diligent in towing cars after 10:00PM. They have a back entrance to the building and they have key fobs to get in the building. But they completely lock the back door at 9:30PM. So you have to go around to the front which is typically not that close to where you parked if you got back after 9:30PM. They could just put a camera up in the back, but apparently, management hasn't thought of this simple solution. Also, specifically for building 11235, it is not pedestrian-friendly. And if you get in past 10:00PM you have to drive through the gate house, which is close to your building, but you have to drive all the way around the complex because the gates are closed on the closest side to your building.

Our building has had water issues, elevator issues, and issues with the back door so it was closed all the time for about a day and a half. They just issue an apologetic letter.

I will applaud The Enclave on their 24/7 concierge service. They will keep packages delivered to you, and then you go pick them up whenever you can. It keeps your interests safe, and it's infinitely more convenient than going to the USPS or UPS to pick up your package because you were at work when it was delivered.

If you're still reading, yes, they have a pool, weight room, community store, and it's close to the White Oak strip mall. But what apartment complex in the Silver Spring area doesn't have these amenities for the price you're about to pay at The Enclave? They have an Enclave Security team. This is nice. But does it indicate that this area needs it? I personally have not felt like this is an extra-dangerous area.

Hope this helps in your decision.

I'm Male, Caucasian, 25-35.
