Apartment Reviews for Whitehall Square - Suitland

My mother has lived in Whitehall Square since 2004 and never once paid her rent late. So, she was shocked when they sent the maintenance guy to deliver a Notice to Vacate the apartment. This comes right before the holidays, and my mother is in her 60s. When we asked them why they were doing this, they said that they were not obligated to tell us why. They simply are exercising their right to take back the apartment. It makes no sense that a good, long-standing tenant who pays her rent on time is being evicted right before the holidays. It is obvious to us that they are only interested in getting the apartment back so that they can charge a higher rent. I was recently approved to live there and immediately withdrew my application. I will NEVER rent from Kay Management since they obviously have no integrity and is only looking after the bottom line.

Overall, WHithall Square is a nice place to live. The upkeep of the property is very well kept. The staff can be rude at times but it's only certain people. The biggest problem there is the parking. Their tow policy sucks!!! They make it very hard for you guest to park. And there are a lot of car thefts. What makes it really bad is the fact that you pay so much to live there & have to go through so much for your visitors to park or yourself if you have a rental if your car is stolen. Or if you have a flat & they tow your car, or your tires are stolen, they tow your car. The claim to have officers on site but they are always in the rental office instead of patrolling the property. Aslo, there were a lot of cab robberies on the property. But I guess it's not as bad as some other area. Overall, my stay there was good. <P>
